Honey and Applesauce Banana Bread

Another one of my all time breakfast/ brunch guilty pleasures is banana bread. I love banana bread in all forms and I love making all different kinds of banana bread. I am also a little bit of a health nut which can be kind of hard when I am obsessed with baking sweet treats. This recipe combines my love for healthy food and my love for baking perfectly. Instead of sugar and oil, this recipe uses honey and applesauce as a substitute. I also add a little agave nectar to mine. This bread is sweet and moist and everything a banana bread should be. The honey adds sweetness and the applesauce makes it nice and moist. This recipe is also really easy and anyone can make it. Here is the recipe:

Honey and Applesauce Banana Bread:
2 cups of all purpose flour
1 tsp of baking soda
1/4 tsp of salt
1/2 cup of applesauce
a little less than 3/4 cup of honey (so you can add agave nectar to make a full 3/4 cup)
to make a complete 3/4 cup add agave nectar to the honey
2 eggs
3 mashed ripe bananas (use very ripe bananas)
Preheat the oven to 350 and spray a 9X5 inch bread loaf pan with canola spray.
In a bowl/ combine flour, baking soda, and salt.
In another bowl, mix together applesauce, the honey, and the agave nectar.
Next, stir in the eggs.
Then, mash up the three bananas.
Add the mashed bananas to the egg mixture.
Then, slowly add the flour mixture to the banana mixture.
Then, pour the batter into the bread loaf pan.
Bake for about 60 minutes or until a toothpick can come out clean.
Then, let it cool.

Next, enjoy this delicious breakfast treat.
